Measure the item at its widest points

Record width, depth, and height. For recliners and sofas, include protruding arms, feet, and the back angle. Note whether legs, shelves, drawers, or doors can be removed.

Measure the narrowest opening

Check the garage opening, side door, gate, and any interior doorway on the path. Measure clear space, not the trim-to-trim size when hinges or handles reduce the opening.

Look at turns and overhead clearance

A long item needs room to pivot. Note low door tracks, lights, ceiling storage, steps, railings, and corners where the item cannot stay level.

Share access details with the estimate request

Send the measurements, item photos, and one photo of the route. Mention glass, damage, loose parts, or a second floor before the appointment.
